Challenge 10 Update | Ocean Therapy Practitioner C Challenge 10 Update | Ocean Therapy Practitioner Course 🌊

I am currently working through my Ocean Therapy Practitioner course, committing to 1 module a day until Christmas. What began as a personal challenge has become a grounding and meaningful part of my mornings.
Today’s lesson reminded me why tides have always felt like such a powerful metaphor for life.
Low tides reveal things we do not always notice. Hidden treasures. Quiet truths. Even low moments can bring clarity and growth. And just as important, low tides are always followed by a rise.
Tides nourish marine life by bringing in nutrients and carrying away waste. Growth in our own lives often works the same way.

To make room for something new, we have to release what no longer serves us. (More about this for me in the new year)

One of today’s reflections invited me to observe the tides and consider what I am ready to let go of.

As the waves come in, breathe in new opportunities.
As they move back out, exhale stress, doubt, or anything you are ready to release.

Sharing one of my weekly 15 Seconds of Tranquility videos as a gentle reminder to pause, breathe, and reflect with the rhythm of the waves.

What is the tide carrying into your life right now
And what is it gently carrying away 🌊

Challenge # 12 is called Thread the Needle. 🪡 You’ Challenge # 12 is called Thread the Needle. 🪡
You’re basically holding onto 1 foot without letting go and trying to jump your other foot through the “needle” so to speak. Sounds simple until you try it. A friend sent it to me and let’s just say I have some work to do.
These challenges have been fun. They keep me humble, keep me moving, and keep me laughing at myself which honestly feels like half the point.
If you can do this one, I need you to report back. I need proof that it’s actually possible.
Consider this my weekly 15 seconds of tranquility Consider this my weekly 15 seconds of tranquility because oh my goodness.
December mornings with the front door open feel like a little miracle. The sun rising, the birds singing, and God painting the most beautiful sky right in front of me. My favorite way to start the day! 🌅🍳

UPDATE: Sold We’re doing a little storage clean-o UPDATE: Sold
We’re doing a little storage clean-out and letting a few special items go that we no longer have space for. One of them is this professionally framed, signed Vince Young UT National Championship jersey that we originally won at the Eanes Elementary auction fundraiser. It has been tucked safely away ever since we moved four years ago.

It would make an incredible Christmas gift for any UT fan.

We also have a signed football available, both stored with care and in excellent condition.

I don’t have a set price, but I’m open to reasonable offers or coming up with a fair price if someone is genuinely interested.
If this is something you’d love to add to your UT collection, message me. Happy to share more details or photos.
Here’s a little glimpse of the Christmas fun happe Here’s a little glimpse of the Christmas fun happening around here lately. I got together with a friend in her lovely new home, made mocktails, and we put together these Christmas potpourri sachets to gift to family and friends for the holidays. They truly make your whole house smell like Christmas.
I’ve also been surprising our UPS, FedEx, and Amazon drivers with little treats. It’s one of my favorite traditions every year, and watching their reactions on our Ring doorbell has been the sweetest… everyone has been so grateful and kind. Most of them we know by name! 😊
I just love this time of year and finding tiny, simple ways to give back. It doesn’t take much to make someone’s day a little brighter. ✨
Weekly 15 seconds of tranquility ~ Crown Shyness & Weekly 15 seconds of tranquility ~ Crown Shyness & Rivers in the Sky. 🕊️

This week comes from one of my favorite spots at our Deer Camp. It is a small cluster of pine trees that I always visit on my nature walks. I start at the base of a trunk and let my eyes travel all the way up to the canopy. Sometimes I even lay down right in the middle of them and look straight up into the vastness of how tall and beautiful they are.
I recently learned a new term that describes something I’ve noticed for years. It is called crown shyness, and it happens when the tops of certain trees never fully touch, creating little openings of light between their branches. Some people call these openings rivers of sky, and I thought that was the most beautiful description.

So today, as you watch the camera drift upward, let it be a reminder to pause, breathe, and notice the quiet miracles above you. Nature always has a way of inviting us back to peace. 🕊️
My YMCA! 💪🏻🙌🏻🥰🎄 Walking into my local YMCA every m My YMCA! 💪🏻🙌🏻🥰🎄
Walking into my local YMCA every morning feels extra magical right now. ✨Our lobby is full of Christmas trees decorated by local businesses, and you “vote” for your favorite by placing food under the tree for the holiday food drive.
It is such a fun way to bring our community together and support families who need a little extra this season.
And if you look closely behind the trees, you will see the wall of positivity and growth mindset quotes… the perfect reminder that giving, gratitude, and growth all start right here.
Lifting weights, lifting spirits, and filling up our food drive one can at a time.
